Carolyn Pitts’ Artist Statement:

I use my personal experiences and travels in the United States and around the world as inspiration for my photographs and paintings. I have been all over the United States collecting information and observing wildlife in order to create a sense of the beauty and freedom I find in nature. The places that I have found the greatest inspiration include Yellowstone National Park, Alaska, Italy, Kruger National Park and Tshuksudu Game Reserve in South Africa. These adventures in the wild, observing wildlife in its natural environment have allowed me to capture rare moments in my artworks. This brings me a deep sense of motivation and I wish to invite my audiences to take these journeys along with me.
